SkillFrame guide
Run a photography cohort for your club, class, or team
Camera clubs, classrooms, and creative teams often default to a monthly theme with no per-member feedback. Running a real cohort means shared assignments, critique at scale, and a measurable trend — without you hand-grading twenty-five frames a night.
Why a monthly theme is not a cohort
A theme gets people shooting. It does not close the loop: no consistent scoring, no per-frame critique, no proof the group improved. Organizers burn out trying to comment on every submission in a chat thread.
What a good group cohort needs
- Shared daily assignments everyone can execute
- Image-specific critique for every member, not generic praise
- Accountability inside a fixed fourteen-day window
- A measurable signal — composition, light, story trend per member
The cohort loop (every member)
Daily assignment → shoot → private upload → image-specific critique → composition/light/story score → repeat. The same deliberate-practice loop as consumer Sprint, packaged for a named group.
How SkillFrame Studio runs it
Studio is a private fourteen-day cohort under your organization's name, up to twenty-five seats, with operator onboarding and pro-tier critique (GPT-4o). Intake is via [email protected] (documented two-business-day intake SLA). Before/after progress cards are available for learners to share with consent — no fabricated member results on this page.
Representative 14-day group arc
Organizer-runnable outline — exact daily prompts vary by genre (portrait, landscape, street).
| Phase | Focus | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Days 1–3 | Baseline | Shared daily assignments; each member uploads and receives critique. |
| Days 4–7 | Composition focus | One composition constraint per day; group discusses patterns. |
| Days 8–11 | Light focus | Light-direction drills; compare scores within the cohort. |
| Days 12–14 | Story + review | Story assignments; consent-based progress share; group debrief. |
Run it yourself vs Studio vs individual Sprint
- DIY — you write prompts and comment manually (high organizer load)
- Studio — private cohort, per-member critique at scale, sales-led setup
- Individual Sprint — one seat per member on /pricing when you are not buying as a group
Run a private cohort for your group
FAQ
- How many members can join a Studio cohort?
- Up to 25 seats per private cohort. Consumer Sprint is for individuals — see /14-day-photography-challenge if a member wants a personal seat instead.
- How does critique work for 25 people?
- Each member uploads privately and receives image-specific critique on composition, light, and story — the same loop as consumer Sprint, without hand-grading every frame yourself.
- Is there a public price?
- No. Studio is sales-led. Contact [email protected] or visit /studio. Do not expect a per-seat price on this page.
- Can an individual skip Studio and use Sprint?
- Yes. If you are not organizing a group, the free Taste critique and consumer Sprint on /pricing are the right paths.
